I am a fan of this author and love her books. I honestly thought I knew what to expect from her writing, but boy was I wrong! I read this book in one night, that shows how good it is.
Anna is successful in her career, travelling round the world with the models she looks after. But her personal life is another matter. Badly let down by her partner she gives up hope of finding someone she can trust enough. Anna finds herself accepting an invitation she didn’t think she would, and this leaves her with a dilemma. She needs to find someone to play the part of her plus one, Jacob. Miraculously she actually finds someone, who manages to turn her world upside down in the process.
Jacob is mysterious, intriguing and very confident. Or so it appears. He has secrets from his past which he keeps close to his chest. Can Anna get him to open up? Will his secrets be too much? The chemistry between Anna and Jacob is obvious, but that doesn’t mean things will run smoothly. Misunderstandings happen which threaten what they could have. But help is on hand in the form of Nathan, Anna’s driver and security expert.
The story is full of twists which you won’t see coming. It is so much more than a simple love story.The path that Anna and Jacob are on isn’t an easy one, and they need to dig deep at times to work their way through. There are sex scenes in this book, they are well written and not overly long. I have found in other books that I skip these scenes as they can get a bit tedious, but the ones in this story are perfect.
There are lessons in this book, too, which range from trusting your suspicions to getting rid of those who give a bad energy to your life. These lessons are something we could all learn from.
Favourite Character
It has to be Nathan. At first he appears to be a secondary character, but later in the book he becomes one of the main ones.
Favourite Scene
It has to be one near the end of the book where things begin to come together again. That’s all I can say without spoiling it!

I have to give this book 5 stars as I loved it so much.
